Paddle Safe Week_General_InstagramThe Washington State Parks Boating Program is leading a statewide effort to create a culture of safety around paddlesports because Washington’s diverse waterways require different skills, preparation and safety equipment.

Paddle Safe Week is a public safety campaign to remind paddlers about habits such as wearing a life jacket, never paddling under the influence, carrying the right equipment, knowing navigational rules and more.

For the fourth year in a row, Governor Inslee has issued a proclamation declaring July 18-24, 2021, as Paddle Safe Week
