Terry & Son's Environmental Mobile Pumpout Service


Terry Durfee owns and operates a nonprofit, Terry & Son’s Environmental Mobile Pumpout Service, on Lake Washington, Portage Bay (East of the University Bridge) and the Duwamish Waterway in King County.

Terry and Son’s service is partially funded by Clean Vessl Act grant funding. The rest of the funding comes from donations.

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. (summer)
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (summer)


In 2013, the Washington State Parks’ Clean Vessel Act Grant Program awarded federal grant funds to Terry & Son’s for a pilot program offering free mobile pumpout services.

Effective March 1, 2020, we will end this pilot program and grant agreements with Terry & Son’s for free mobile pumpout services. For more information, please read our Mobile Pumpout Update.  

Pumpout services are still available. Visit PumpoutWashington.org to find a map of stationary pumpout locations and mobile pumpout providers, as well as a list of independent, for-profit mobile pumpout service providers in your area.
