Through recent research of stone tools found in Puget Sound, there has been new insight into this archaeological "phase" that we call Olcott.
This talk will describe what the Olcott Phase is and the new information that is being learned about the archaeological history of Puget Sound. There are excellent palm frond fossils in coves along Chuckanut Drive, making Larrabee State Park an excellent place to learn about this interesting topic!
Meet at the amphitheater in the south day-use area of the park. There is limited seating available at picnic tables, so bring a blanket or chair to sit on!
