Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     You and your children can create crafts that vary each day but could include tree ring medallions! Meet in the driveway by the store or the whale room depending on weather.

    At the Center for Wooden Boats boathouse, children can build and decorate their own toy boat and set it afloat. This activity is free but there is a suggested $5 donation.

    Take a relaxing hike through the forest and see the changes the season brings. Have a phone or camera handy to take pictures of the forest and perhaps a deer or rabbit that may cross your path.

    Learn to paint using acrylics in this 6-week course. Students will explore a range of acrylic painting techniques to create soft images inspired by nature, and also bold, bright, wild creations that acrylics are known for. Each assignment will guide students step-by-step through planning for a painting, preparing surfaces for paint, and finishing a completed painting.

    The Team Hope Walk program is HDSA’s signature grassroots fundraising campaign designed to provide hope and support for those touched by this devastating disease.
