Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     Join family, friends and neighbors to get in shape for Bloomsday! Whether you plan to walk, jog or run Bloomsday, these free clinics will provide you with a medically-sound, gradual conditioning and training program.

    Expect some walking, jogging or running on the Spokane Falls Community College campus during the first three weeks of training. During weeks four through seven, the course will take you along the Spokane River and onto Centennial Trail.

  1. Brushstroke Calligraphy for the Curious Beginner with Lindsey Wayland

    Brushstroke calligraphy is playful and casual, which also makes it more approachable than traditional script calligraphy. Join poet calligrapher Lindsey Wayland to learn all about beginning brushstroke calligraphy. Each student will learn the basic techniques for brush lettering and the alphabet. And true to Lindsey's classes, she will teach you the foundational requirements to springboard into your authentic style.

Lake Sammamish State Park

    EVENT CANCELLED: Due to COVID-19 and state mandated social distancing, this event is cancelled.

    The Lake Sammamish Race is a human-powered boating event with distances of 3, 6 and 13 miles. It is open to all paddlers, rowers and pedalers who want to test their abilities against others in an open water environment. All entrants must be capable of self rescue, and must have personal flotation devices (life jackets). There will be awards for the first three places in each category, as well as food and drinks after the race.
